Today I managed to redirect the internal waste ink tubing system into a an external bottle. The key problem is the need of drilling a tiny small hole, but one can hardly notice the small hole in the casing.

In case you weren't aware the WICReset Utility now supports the R3000 as well now too... Probably because you submitted the profile but just thought I'd mention it in case...

Pharmacist, To attach an external waste tank I followed your instruction in removing the back bottom panel of the R3000 by unscrewing the 3 screws. I did thyat but I don't see anything near what you show in the 3rd photo of your instructions. Is there another piece that has to be removed to get to the waste line tubing?

After you remove the rear panel you remove the right side panel. You will see two tubes linked bu spring clips to the waste ink pad tubes. Many of the R series printer are pretty much the same.
