Interesting... Did you not have any of the WJ807 base fluid? Can't remember if I've ever provided you with any of that...

Worth noting that the Paul Roark B&W recipe's use with 807 Base or the WJ804 GLOP as a CIB, with pigment inks as well so might that be worth trying too?

I have the XP-15000 and refillable carts waiting for me to play so perhaps I'll give it a shot... Not to find that missing ingredient... Ah yes, spare time... where'd I put that?!!

There is an age-old pprogram Profile Prism which uses a scanner to read patch sheets

but it's very much outdated.

You may look for a used ColorMunki package on Ebay or similar and use its software , or you use the spectrometer together with the ArgyllCMS freeware.

How much are willing or able to spend ? What do you mean with 'best affordable '? You can go a step up and buy an i1Studio package or an i1 Profiler package - or you can go higher.................

I am not a user profile person, but I did use this type of one many many moons ago..

Have you updated your drivers / printer since you brought it?
Just got my chip reader and I don’t want to do anything that stops it working. Also don’t suppose you have a printer profile for the 106 / 114 / gi 53 inks and canon photo paper pp 201

You mean the firmware: I did not update it. In the printer menu I disabled the messages for firmware upgrade. What do you mean with chip reader: resetter ? If interested I can make a profile for you, but you will have to print a target I can send to you and you print it without any colour management.
