Thanks - I would save the 4600 if I could, but it's starting to make a lot of nasty grinding noises, as well as give me frequent error messages. So I would like to get a printer that would use the same CISS.

Whatever printer you get youll get the best results out of using OEM cartridges.
The inks in the CISS you have can be used to refill these cartridges countless time
without the headaches associated with running a CISS on your new printer, pause for taught.. ;)

This new 526 chip resetter will launch in May we are told but how well will it work.
Will it work 100% of the time on all the chips or less than that?
It remains to be seen just how effective it will be on these OEM chips, only time will tell.. :|

They are usually reliable, but no one knows if the resetter team have found all the hidden workings of the ever smarter chips. As The Hat says, time will tell ;)
