@The Hat - That's was what I thought some time ago with the Octopus carts when they printed a lot of pages and no leaks and suddenly a day later drips or pools of ink. Last time it occurred was during the storm conditions where we had high pressure and suddenly low pressure then high again.
@mikling - Great info on how the bags work. I also liked your idea of drawing ink out to prime the cart. I'm thinking a syringe with a stepped tip like the one supplied with the Chinese carts (see pic) A little O ring over the thin part would seal against the port and then adjust the tip to the right length to just open the spring loaded port.
