What about rubbing alcohol? I always have 70% isopropyl alcohol around which has a good evaporative nature.

You can use a bit of alcohol mixed with distilled water to rinse off...

That is exactly what I buy, and where I buy it. Based on specific helpful info from Mikling.

Big bottle costs $2.50 with sufficient to clean all your house and car windows with enough left over for 100 years of inkjet cart cleaning.
