What about printer speed?

Comparing the canon website description It's said:

6 min A2 (pro1000) vs 5:20 min A3+ (pro 10s) vs 7:55 min A3+ (9500mk2) maximum settings average coverage

However reading real world reviews says that the printer is very slow, so maybe I will pass

Printers could probably be seen as car in future, you can get various brands of fuel.

Heh can't speak for Germany, don't want to open another topic see also the mess happened with the Diesel stuff...

Well I was not considering to buy 12 L of inktek, maybe a bit less however.. well you are saying of spending 30% in order to obtain 90% of quality. What other ink suggestions I can get being in Europe comparable in price or little costly than InkTek, octoink ?

Also CO is a particular topic, for now I never tested the inktek CO, maybe is ok, maybe sucks, probably the last resource could be harvest it from 700ml OEM plotter cartridges.
As far as I know octoink.co.uk doesn't sell ink for the PRO-1000.
That restricts your choice to a combination of PC and OEM.
For CO (plus R, B and Y) you only can buy new cartridges (I use PC SE CO in the PRO-10, for me 90% is OK, but see @mikling's observation). And believe me, all other 3th party CO "sucks".
The PRO-10 can be operated with ink from older generation large format printers (and custom profiles), but I suppose the PRO-1000 needs Lucia PRO.

Octoink sells ink for the Pro1000, although isn't easy to find it beacuse the Pro-1000 doesn't appears in the in menu alongside the other Canon Pro printers. I guess they need to update the website.
In order to locate ink for PFI-1000 carts, you need to enter 'Pro1000' in the quickfind window at the top left side of their home page.

Is buried so deep? Nice to know however was wondering maybe do exists resellers aimed specifically to the pro market and production centers that work with 2100,4100 and 6100 products. I have to ask a friend here with a poster service they say that they aren't using oem ink anymore on that canons, if they works for the 4100 should work for the 1000 too.

Depends on what ink (and paper) you use, even the original Lucia OEM was far from perfect.
Do not think CO will mask gloss differences of inferior inks.
