I have had my Canon Pixma Pro-1 printer for about 4-5 years. It gets infrequent use. I will print several 8 x10s or 5x7s every few months. Now and then I have gotten the B200 error over its lifetime (with the alarm and power light alternating sequence of 10 flashes each). This included right out of the box! Which somehow cleared itself with unplugging the power. I've noticed in the past I would even get this error if the front printing bay is closed but I power up the printer.
I printed a few 11x17 images about two weeks ago and then printed a 5x7 five days ago. But ink was very low for 5 of the inks. The 5x7 Print didn't come out great with some banding. Then two days ago I put new ink cartridges in. It seemed to take them fine. Then I tried to do a test print for another image. I got the error message on the computer. It said B200. Have printer serviced...I turned it off and back on and now I just get the flashing light sequence and printer won't do anything. I have tried to unplug it 5-6 times over the past couple days but can't get it to do anything other than flash at me.
The last time this happened, my son had pulled down hard on the front printer bay door and I just let it sit for a couple weeks and then it started working again, miraculously.
I have only used OEM inks for this printer.
Would love any assistance folks can offer. Thank you!
