No no no no no. That thing is gonna work again, with or without its consent.
But i must admit, i had several weird hobbies but this one is breaking records.
Do you know if the service manual was leaked somewhere or a thrustable source i could buy it from ? I'd like to check how pumps are...
Hello folks, today's update is about pumps.
I don't like them. I managed to put the printhead back together and it is now empty (filled with air) and clean. I wanted to purge the tubes as well so i rinced/cleaned a pgi-29 cartridge and filled it with IPA (or water, i don't remember and it...
Thrid update
So the PBK Wasn't printing.
Well, that was why.
So i took the head apart for sport and found why the pbk wasn't working. It roughly clogged everywhere possible. I took a bunch of pictures of what is inside. Quite interresting that there is basically cartridges inside the...
Hello,
Currently trying to save a pro 1 as well. I went to blank pages to mostly working (PBK is still printing almost blank, Y and M are struggling and i have few lines on other colors)
I did many things, one of them was rubbing the printhead over IPA/Canon cleaning solution soaked towel...
2nd update.
I removed the printhead from the printer to soak it into cleaning solution. i'll skip forward doing that 2 times and ran a bunch of cleaning in between. So everything is starting to looks good except PBK.
I tried rubbing the nozzle group good, tried to force push ink into the PBK's...
Small update after this sequence
1 small clean, 1 manual clean, 1 deep clea , 1 manual clean, 1 small clean
Now, we wait.
Manual clean was rubbing the printhead over towel paper soaked in IPA and octoinkjet thermal printhead cleaning solution. R, PBK and MBK are very dead but as was M and Y...
So... I have now enough ink to try a rescue on a Canon pro 1.
Symptoms : print blank pages /nozzle checks, no errors.
Current plan : power up the printer, unplug it so the printhead move freely, rube the printhead over a octoink cleaning solution for canon soaked towel paper.
Replug the...
Hello, Thanks for the hint it seems it has indeed solved the issue ! the print on the lidl paper came out perfect with no streaks. great, it'll be cheaper for me to print now ! i noticed that Action also make photo paper for even cheaper but i didn't found it yet.
might be, i bought it alongside a canon pro 10s and like you said it is not produced anymore. The paper seems okay but guess either it is not, either something weird happen with the cyan only
Since i solved the problem of my epson by switching paper, i'll do the same on the pro-10s once i switch to Canon's ink... Might be a paper related problem too after all
Thanks for the reply. The nozzle check was perfect. the problem came from the paper. i switched from the Lidl one to an HP Premium Plus Photo Paper i had laying around and the problem is gone. too bad the hp is 20 times more expensive than the lidl !!
Hello,
I printed 4 images and 3 of them was featuring those smear, all in the same places, 2 collumns on the left of the print. (yes... it sound very similar to my other post. but not the same problem !) any ideas ?
Printer : Epson XP-8700
Ink : Epson 378 cartridges refilled with Epson 107...
Hello,
I recently printed 4 images and 3 of them had those marks in the exact same place (top right corner). and only there. any ideas ?
Printer : Canon Pro-10s ~700 prints
Ink : Inktek from printout24
paper : United Office A4 photo paper glossy (Lidl made photo paper around 2016 or something...
Thanks for those valuables informations ! oddly enough i don't even enjoy printing that much. i simply enjoy watching these machines at works and understanding what's going on. I salvaged enough Canon genuine ink from a Pro-1 printer to feed 2 set of PGI-72, it'll do for a bit. Once the potty is...
I just want to. It's both to keep the "waste tank" clean (canon should be hanged for handling waste ink like that !) and to monitor how the printer waste it's ink. I'll also put one on a pro-1 and try to revive it but i have to flush the printhead and having 150ml of ink down the drain makes me...
i don't think those were concerned. it was cheaper ones. Maybe Sypders ? Anyway it's kind of a mess as ColorMunki seems to became Calibrite or X-rite. Quite expensive stuff even on second hand market (one for 180€ nearby). i'll ask my company if we could buy one. We have LED walls and huge...
which model are you using ? i understood that cheap probes on second hand market were made with an organic piece that doesn't age well (i can't remember which brand did that) and that it was why they were cheap.
