Hi folks,
I am new here, and I don't know anything about printers. But I want to refill my carts with water resistant ink. Can anybody advicel me what ink I can take ?
I have a Canon MP 610 and an Epson stylus office BX 300 F.
Thanks a lot.

All of them! LOL
Probably only Pigment based ink will have some water resistant properties and probably only on some papers.

It is Canon MP 610, that's not resistant. Epson is, but I want to refill it, because of the high costs of that carts. I have to buy the originals, because the compatibles are not waterresistant.

The Canon MP610 takes the CLI-8 range of inks which are dye based except for the pigmented black. Enquiries over the past few weeks suggest that the dye based inks cannot be sustituted with pigmented inks. Pity!
The Epson stylus office BX 300 takes the Durabrite inks which are pigmented and can be sourced from third parties.

The MP610 uses a PGI-5 Pigment Black cartridge which, like other pigment inks, is water resistant. Your PGI-5 Pigment Black is used when printing text on Plain Paper setting but not used when printing images.

OK, that explains a lot. Thanks. So not if text is in an image. And how it is if on a sheet is an image and text ?

T-shirt transfers ?????
Does not the ink disappear when you wash them ?
I guess compatible carts are mostly Dye based.
