Today I received a vintage HP/GretabMacbeth Eye-One Pro, that was still sealed and included a CD-ROM with the older iMatch software.

I will try to install the old software that probably will only work in 32-bit Windows versions, otherwise ArgyllCMS is the way to go ;)

Wow, what archeological dig did that come from? ;) I did not even know that Gretag MacBeth partnered with other companies to have names such as HP imprinted on their hardware. I bought an i1 Pro 1 rev B back in 2005, and I recognize all of that hardware in your pictures.

Support lasted longer than you think with the correct version of i1 Profiler.
Here is a link that talks about the latest and last support from an OS and software basis for the i1 Pro 1:
https://www.xrite.com/service-support/i1pro1supportdroppedini1profiler320

The link embedded in that page is no longer available to access the last supported hardware, yet you may have a copy of your own.

I use ArgyllCMS.

PS - it's due for a calibration :)
