I was using a PEI build sheet for about 8 mths and eventually despite being careful it had a lot of scrapes and cuts when I had to prise off stuff that stuck too well. I have been using a Lokbuild sheet for a while now with a flexy metal build plate which makes removal easy, but sometimes you get a real stubborn print that needs more help to remove.

I saw a two great tools similar to artist palette knives that a friend uses to remove his prints and I have ordered a set as they are not too expensive and may save ripping up build plates with other scrapers etc.

Why is the tool, sold out of the UK, more expensive in the UK than in the US? :idunno

Because it's Rip off Britain :he

Here is a perfect example of profiteering...

Cooltek Fan - great choice for Hotend cooling

Sold by Amazon in Germany... €8.90 (approx £7.85)

https://www.amazon.de/Cooltek-20040...8&qid=1547990034&sr=8-2&keywords=cooltek+40mm

Exact same product sold by Amazon in UK - £12.08

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooltek-CT...8&qid=1547989923&sr=1-1&keywords=cooltek+40mm

No excuses that it is customs duty or extra VAT etc. Just a clear rip off :fl

I've even seen another Cooltek for sale a few weeks ago at €4.30 in AMZ Germany and £12 here in AMZ UK

US sourced goods are simply sold for at least the same price in GBP as they are in USD and usually more. Granted there are customs and import charges but often it just another rip off.

That is a sham.

We in the US experience the same cost scheme on prescription drugs. The exact same name brand drug is oftentimes more expensive in the US than in Canada, Mexico and other parts of the world. Because they can.

I seldom if ever buy anything on Amazon, not because I don’t like them but it’s because everything they sell is shipped by courier, when I purchase from the US or mainland Eu I try to make sure they use the Postal Service.

Anything here that comes by way of couriers tends to attract a lot of extra charges but usually not so by post, snail mail it maybe but mostly it’s cheaper.

Works for me....;)

I purchased a similar kit after hearing about it from a few videos:

... I like them for removing some prints, but for others, my old (more stiff / narrow) putty knife is my favorite option.
