Canon has fought back with these latest chipped cartridges. Less bucks but less pages as well and much more expensive in usage !
Chipped like the CLI-8/PGI-5 cartridges but containing much less ink:
CLI-512 dye: 9 ml (CLI-8: 13 ml)
PGI-520Bk: 19 ml (PGI-5Bk: 27 ml)
The latest printers using these cartridges:
normal printers: IP3600, IP4600 (both have photoblack installed)
multifunctionals: MP540, MP620, MP630, MP980
The photo magenta and photo cyan colors have been omitted and replaced by a grey ink cartridge in the MP980 to ensure neutral B/W prints (in combination with the photoblack cartridge).
Any chip resetter available ?
