How often should I use a Canon inkjet to ensure nozzles don't become clogged?

Ok, when I use Edge the download starts fine. However it was taking a long time and I lost patience and cancelled the download.

I just tried a test print using the Windows 10 app (i.e., right click on a photo, and select the print option) and it came out fine. I also tried a Word print and it came out fine. My current set-up - with the original problematic update reversed, but the new update uninstalled - seems to works fine for me. Others' mileage may differ, as the old saying goes.

Windows 10 may reinstall an update you uninstalled. :fl

Trying to download the file from Microsoft at different times may improve success with slow downloads.

Ok, I was more patient today and installed the KB5001649 update.

I'm not clear on whether my laptop will at some point attempt to download the other, bug-ridden, update. So I adjusted my settings to postpone new updates for 35 days (the maximum postponing period permitted) to be on the safe side.

For what it's worth....I changed the Windows update settings on my back to automatic update.

I restarted the laptop and tried a test print using the standard Windows 10 app (i.e., right click on a photo in, say, Windows explorer, and select print for the range of options that appear in the black background menu). It came out perfect. Scan attached. So I assume that the new update Statman linked to above is preventing the faulty update from installing.
