My conclusion is that buyng an inkjet printer for home use is a mugs game. I won't be buying another.
Replacement inks and print heads (if you can get them) cost almost as much as a new printer.
Unless an inkjet printer is in constant use, the heads are pretty much guaranteed to get blocked.
Manufacturer support & repair is virtually non existant.
Manufacturers deliberately make it difficult/impossible to obtain and replace print heads.
Service / calibration software is not made available to end users.
Both Epson and Canon seem to adopt similar policies.
