Hello,

I am an amateur photographer and printer. I print for display in my house and from time to time to do jobs for friends. I started with an Epson SC P600 and found that my travel schedule did not allow me enough time to keep the print heads from clogging up. Maybe the aftermarket ink was a problem as well.

Now my printer is the Canon Pima 100 and it seems to be able to be left for longer periods with no clogging. I also, so far, am just using Canon ink.

I look forward to learning more from this group. Particularly how to keep my printer in good shape as I embark on a three-month vacation.

Thanks!

All you need to do with your printer till you get back, is put a cover over it, plastic, cloth or cardboard will do, then lower the front delivery tray and place a small bowl of water on it.. Job done…
Happy Holidays.. :thumbsup
