Got a PK and M clog with the nozzle checks.

I did replace the carts prior and was wondering how one can tell if it is due to a possible air bubble or an outright clog?

Nozzle check shows the broken segments in the same areas of each color. Ran a few "Print Unclog Pattern" prints via Qimage Ultimate with the two colors with no improvement. However, the AutoClean off the printer's menu seems to help a bit more than using Qimage's unclogger too.

A flood of head cleaner on the two white pads on the capping station seemed to help with some - and letting it sit for a few hours.

Man these things clog easily!

If it's an Epson (thus a piezo print head), it is more than likely that AIR is the cause of missing segments after a cart change, not a clog.

Removing the air in the ink path can be very frustrating. And you can't tell if it's air or a clog with one nozzle check. All you see are missing segments.

If these missing segments 'move around" in successive checks, it probably not a clog.

Let it sit overnight and try again.
