Dreaded P07/5B00 message on Canon Pixma MP499

Here's a view of the situation.
Ops, if that’s the state of your current purge unit then you have a problem, because you’ve got no ceramic pad in the black section.. Time to go looking for it somewhere inside..

No, I just cleaned it before, that's the reason why it's not on the picture, I will try to send a small video of what's happening...
Everything seems to be OK. No paper found in the unit...I looked around and nothing seems to be different as usual. But something is wrong somewhere...

I wouldn’t go pulling the purge unit apart, just flood both pads with window cleaner and run a few cleaning cycles without the head in place and make sure the pads empty, then spray the whole area with the window cleaner especially the wiper area, use paper towels to mop up the excess liquid..

If you flood the pads and they don’t hold the liquid then one of the tubes have been disconnected and that will need reconnection after you check it’s not blocked with dried ink..
 
I have cropped the photo in post #20 and marked what I think are the cam operated valves in the purge unit. The sensors should then be near these.

The sensors might be microswitches that can be tested for continuity with a DMM with continuity test function and if necessary taken apart and cleaned. The sensors might also be optical interruptors with an IR emitter and IR detector on each side of a disk, vane or similar, I think these will be difficult to test but you could clean the lenses if such are found on the IR emitters and detectors with a soft tissue paper.

Also check for mechanical blockages of the purge unit. maybe something is stuck in old ink?

I did follow the instructions from the Hat.
But unfortunately nothing changed...

Everything seems to be normal until I try to print... Then I get the 6C10 Error
 
I thought mistakenly the printer was an MP499 due to the thread headline. I have an MP620 and the parts catalog and service manual.

I viewed your video clip and noticed a flapping noise at 0:29-0:36. My MP620 does not make a such noise at start up, so I think that noise is related to the purge unit error. Maybe something is blocked?

Here is a photo of the purge unit from the service manual page 30 lower right corner. I have marked what I think might be the cam position sensor. :

I tried to clean all the Sensor IR and set up everything again...Hopeless...
Still the same error msg.
No idea from where it's coming from.
