Canon TS 8051 Incomplete Print-outs

Thanks The Hat, tried as per suggestion but same result. Printout 2" above base of A4 paper.

Page size set for A4 - plain paper A4 in Casset
Type:- Plain Paper
Paper src:- Auto
Print Quality:- Standard

stratman. yes I did reboot after I uninstalled the machine. The printer is out of warranty.

I may have to abandon the Canon and get something else but I don't like to give up. Anyway there are a lot of negative comments on most printers on the market so which to chose. I had an HP all-in-one for about 10 years until it finally died and bought the Canon upon the recommendation of a pal. Might need a new pal too!

The machine has now stopped printing a full page of text (the bottom 3/4” or so is always cut off) when using ‘Copy’ or printing a PDF taken from a scan on the printer.

Does the PDF look appropriate when viewed on your monitor?

Yes stratman. I had the same page (matched yours) on my computer and activated 'Default'. No joy though.

I wonder if trying a different scanner software may make a difference. You could try VueScan free trial.

Well, I get the same results printing from my 'write' program on my computer but I'll try VueScan tomorrow.
