Hello,

I would like to start picture collection of printhead connectors from Canon Inkjet printers.

And I ask Everyone to join, cause I have access to very limited types of printheads.

Let's go with very popular QY6-0080:

Suggested scan parameters:
- no auto corrections (sharpening, etc)
- image type: none or photo
- resolution: 600 dpi (or 1200 if you wish)
- file format: PNG (or other lossless)
- scanner type: CCD is better than CIS

Here is a scan of the contacts of a QY6-0061. This print head is used in iP5200 and MP830. An extended service manual for the MP830 with the pinout does exist. It is found here.

I have more print heads, do you want scans of them all, or only these for which pinout exists?

Thanks!
Each printhead is appreciated :thumbsup

There is a chance to determine the approximate pinout for "unknown" printheads (or at least some of most important contacts).

Excellent! :thumbsup

I managed to run old CCD scanner - Plustek OpticPro 12000T.
PC with specifically configured parallel port was necessary.
Scanner was put out of action many years ago because of power adapter failure. But now it is connected to IBM Thinkpad power adapter (16V, original was 15V).

Filed depth is fine, but colors are terrible. Max optical resolution is 600 dpi.
Compared, scanner unit in modern Canon Inkjet is a pleasure to use.

Here is QY6-0073 connector:

It is nearly same as QY6-0080, but it lacks two HV grounds.

Also, 2 +3V pins are connected in different manner (QY6-0073 is "old style" with dedicated "bridge"):
