Hello,
Is this method harmful for the printer as it goes up instead of going on the same level of the head?

If yes do you have any alternative method to do it without making holes inside the printer body?

Note: it's working fine by me until now but i'm just wondering if it's harmful.

Thanks. :)

All of them! LOL
I think you can run it directly underneath the side panel where the two tabs that hold it in place are located. That's how I did my two 1400s

It's best to have downhill route to your waste tube at any rate. Not up hill!
Is it harmful? I've never had the nerve to find out.

As Joe said downhill is the best route for your waste ink but if you really want to have the perfect answer then try this…

If that’s not possible then make one of your own.
Low profile and downhill all the way with non-return valve and clamp..

Correct... This guide is old now but shows how it can be done.

The problem is that the peristaltic pump design used in Epson printers is not designed to stop backflows so you can get pumps that have worn, have stretched tubing or similar that allows backflow. In such cases a high-loop design (as shown in your image) will hit problems. To summarise the issue, if your waste ink is pumped to the apex of a high curve but not over, it can regress back towards the cleaning/resting pad and soil the underside of your printhead which means more clogging, more printhead cleaning, etc...

Use of low profile tanks is a good plan as a result but if you're in DIY mode then you can recreate something similar to the Printer Potty kits we sell commercially, albeit with a loose connection through the lid.

Hope that helps... :)
