You’re never going to keep your printer working properly with your infrequent use, I’d suggest you dump the printer and get a Mono laser printer as a much better and more reliable option..
Even if I let it stay connected to perform cleaning cycles with infrequent printing? I bought it for infrequent use. Per Jose's channel on YouTube's advice I could print 1 sheet every week. Even if I don't need it for the purpose of keeping printer head from drying.

I bought it for infrequent use.
Even with infrequent use, you’ll still suffer no amount of heart ache, inkjet printers hate been left ideal.. That’s the nature of the beast..
P.S. inkjet printers need to be used daily to stay in perfect condition... otherwise all bets are off...

You spend apparently much more time with cleaning than with printing, I only can support @The Hat 's advice to get a laser printer
