Am I reading this correctly? 110 hours per section? Or should I read 1/10 hour each?
Nope, That’s correct, each piece will take 110 hours to complete..
Good things are worth waiting on, even if its round 5…
P.S. What’s time to a Printaholic…:)

Just an idea, you could add three or four ribs around the outside to help strengthen it. Excuse the poor sketch they would need a small fillet to make them stronger but you will get the idea...

Didn't I read something about a metal pole taking all the tension ?..
I guess that, excepting the lamps, Mark VI will be all metal and zero PLA.

Some good News..

I got a batch of black filament rolls in from 123.ink yesterday and was able to start the first prints on the new Mark V lamp standard straight away..

This is just the first few minutes in, but lovely to finally get started again..

I checked in on them this morning and things were progressing away nicely, it’s going to be an awfully long slow project so I don’t expect to have everything done in a flash. (If only)

This is today 16 hours in and not much has happened, 1 of them will finish tomorrow Thursday and the other won’t finish till Saturday, I’ll make a start on the lanterns new week, I’ve got plenty of time, but I need to make a start digging a new hole..

I need to make a start digging a new hole..
If you want to dig your hole faster then just say something to irritate Mrs The Hat and the hole you dig will get deeper fast. :hide

Oh... not that kind of hole? Never mind. :duc

The project is looking good. :thumbsup

Just an update..

This is as far as I’ve got to, 3 days 23 hours in, and the other one is 2 days 6 hours running.. I’ll give them a day off tomorrow because I’ll be out of filament till Monday, the Feckin courier never turned up yesterday or today..

Another update..

I’m still printing away on my lamp standard, all be it slowly.. It takes approx. 24 hours to print the centre column 10 cm high white the rest of the stuff prints a bit faster, here the Cr-10s is just finishing off the top dome..

Spy in the sky..
This centre column with end up almost 3 metres, so there’s a lot more printing to go.
