I did a quick search and did not find anything about these so I am posting a review.
After years of refilling BCI-3e and BCI-6 carts, my desktop printer died and I moved to a printer that uses the PGI-5 and CLI-8 carts. I had been using G&G cats (from meritline) because I can get them for...
The printhead I have just died (5 orange blinks) and I am looking for a source for a new one. The previous source I used is no longer selling it. Looking for : Canon Pixma iP5000 QY6-0057-000. I have found it (hopefully) on ebay, will buy there if I cannot find a better price. I have 2 of...
No one asnwered me, so I took the plunge and ordered them.....YES THEY ARE G&G. All of the ones that they shipped were G&G, either single pack or mutiple pack. Very happy with the price and G&G is one of the better compatables from what I have read. I have used them some (minimally) and have...
Has any one purchased the bulk packages of ink carts through Meritline? I am talking about the BCI 3e Blk, and then BCI-6 B, C,Y, M.
Their single packs show the G&G packaging. I have used G&G in the past and have been happy with them. I usually refill but woud like to keep a couple of pack...
Smile - that's exactly what I was looking for, thanks so much! I am taking along my computer (as Simon recommends) but wanted to have a back-up plan in case I could not get the drivers loaded in an approprite amount of time. Thanks again!
I have the opportunity to purchase a USED iP5000 printer. Am told that it works great but that it will need new cartridges. I have no idea how long the carts have been empty or anything. I am conerned about the print head and would like to test it before I buy it.
I have cartridges (BLK 3e...
I was doing some web sufing, and stumbled upon this discussion on dpreview (perhaps already known to many of you) about inks and fading. After some testing Renard seems to have identified (from characteristics, color, and fading properties) some of the manufacturers of some inks. Unfortunately...
I was out bargin hunting at the garage sales yesterday, and purchased a used Canon i860.
I actually purchased it from my next door neighbor for $5.00 (don't you love garage sales!). She only used original Canon cartridges in it (but not always the right ones! - see below). She has not used it...
I have a Pixma iP5000. I seem to remember reading something in the manual about feeding heavy paper from the back slot, the one you check when the double sided feeder is jammed. I haven't neded to do this, so I offer no practical help, just a suggestion.
I am sure that this printer can...
Steve,
Yes! Thank you, that's it! Do they work well for storage? Have you used them to hold the cartridge during refilling, and do they work well? I am currently using the orange clips, which I attach with rubber bands - it works but it is a bit tedious.
I had a link for a cartridge clip for Canon cartridges that could be used for storage and refilling. It was actually a clear plastic box that the cartriadge snapped into and had that clear, spongy rubbery stuff (sylastic? silicone?) to seal the outlet hole. Someone had even posted a photo of it...
My understanding of Inez' hesitancy on refilling has more to do with potentially harming the printer by refilling than an actual inability to do the mechanicals of refilling. I understand that she is a little hesitant to refill if there are economical after market cartridges readily available...
I checked out another OD nearby and found the Utima line on discount there as well (for 4.01 per package). The newer line beside it was "Ultra", so I guess that Kodak is changing the name of this type of paper. So far, I have seen it for sale only at OD.
DRC - thanks for the advice. I may pick...
I stopped by the local Office Depot yesterday and (of course) checked out their clearance sections.
I found Kodak Ultima PhotoPaper (4x6, High Gloss, 100 shts) on sale for 4.01, and then further reduced to 2.01. Needless tosay I bought all 6 of the remaining packets. I also bough 6 packets of...
Saw this on another board:
If you have one of these Epson printers you may be due a credit from Epson or a check.

Music Image,
Have you tried Hobbicolors? They have very quick response to emails, and I think they will ship to NZ. You can contact support from their website at www.hobicolors.com, "contact us". Their website needs to be revamped, but I can personally say that their service is next to the...
