Hello Folks
After the constant clogging with the Epson C48 i decided to get shot of it and was looking at other printers, came across the Brother DCP-130C printer. I have never used those printers whatsoever, so would like anyone with past experience good or bad to give me a push in the right...
@Heidy
I purchased the chip reseter and used it on Epson c48/cx 3600/c44 carts without fail, takes about 3-5 seconds per cart.
Edit. If the printer you mentioned is the R360 then yes it should work on those carts.
I use methylated spirits (1.50 per 500ml bottle) for clearing ink clogs and have had great success, i use it for loads of other things and works wonders (note: it has a very strong smell, so use in a well ventilated room).
Just had a look and it is strange that Epson sells their budget/cheapo (c4x, c6x) series printers everywhere else but not in America.
The closest model in the states is the C88, the ink is dirt cheap for them on ebay(.com).
For what you want, i would say something cheapo like a Epson C48, the ink is totally cheap and a good performer (but slow at high quality).
I would have said a Canon but i am guessing you dont want to be raped with very high ink prices that all new Canon printers now have, hopefully chipped...
I also believe they are lies to get people to purchase their products, other sites have been saying the samething about chips being available very soon but nothing came of that.
Thanks for the replies.
As soon as the majority starts seeing the cheap printers/high priced ink scam then things will progress but until then, the printer companies can do what the hell
they want.
Hello
Just noticed THIS on ebay and wondered if it is worth buying?
I know nothing about CIS, so would ask those in the know how to please post your opinions.
Thanks
After a good few years my Canon i250 has died, looked around for a Canon replacement and checked out the prices of ink. I am absolutely disgusted at the price of ink cartridges that these new canons use. Not expensive but outright rip off.
I bit the bullet and purchased an Epson printer, as...
Hello
I have had my i250 over two years and it has been a fantastic little printer. the other week the software told me the "Wasted ink tank is almost full" and would let me proceed to print after pressing the resume button but after a few days the printer would not print out due to wasted ink...
