Thank you very much PeterBJ, fantastic info. As both of my power supplys are now outputting 0 volts maybe I should try to make an external PSU. If I get something outputting 24V and 32V do you think that might work or do you think the printer will need something on the 3v yellow wire as well.
Unfortunately, from what I have read elsewhere those voltages printer on the power supply are not correct. A working one apparently outputs some quite different voltages. That is why I was hoping to find someone with a working one that they can test for me.
Can anyone tell me what the voltages and approximate power requirements are on a K30290 PSU for a MP-610?
I have two of these failed and am thinking about building a replacement PSU.
Thanks,
Looks like I need to replace my old Canon MP-610. I have been refilling this for years using Hobbicolors inks combined with resetting the cartridge chips with a Redsetter.
Question is which of the current bread of inkjets can have their cartridges refilled manually like I have been doing with...
My MP-610 seems to have died with the ubiquitious 'U052 The type of print head is incorrect' error.
I have tried all the normal options for cleaning out the print head, washing in warm water and soaking in isopropylyalchol but no change still get the same error. Can't even get into service...
Any suggestions or recommendation for a compatible ethernet Print Server to connect a USB Canon MP610 multifunction? This is to use in Windows 8, not that the actual OS should matter.
Thanks,
Nick
Anyone know how to empty the waste ink tank on a Ricoh e3350? I know how to reset the waste ink tank message but cannot see how to actually clean out the thing.
Thanks,
Slightly longer than 2.5" 20g needles now obtained (in the UK) and tested, cost around a couple of pints in the pub. Works fine but a little difficult to get the angle right to meet the hole in the partition wall. Wonder if next time I might try going along the plastic at the side so I can see...
Nah, shouldn't be a problem, vets use needles that long. Maybe not cheap but should be available. Will revert when I have actually obtained one and tried it.
Further thoughts on refilling these cartridges.
1). The rememoving the ball and injecting directly into the resevoir method is not perfect because the hole cannot reliably be resealed after filling.
2). The original Durchstich method is not perfect because it means perforating the micro-porous...
Just purchased one from LaserDesigns in the UK, delivered within a few days. Re-setter supplied was blue one with screwed on bottom allowing battery replacement.
I a little bemussed by the various obscure methods for filling these cartridges, it don't arf seem a lot of fuss.
Can someone tell me what is wrong with the below method of refilling a CLI-8 / PGI-5 cartridges, which I have just tried on a couple of cartridges:
1). Fit original ink outlet...
dougsewell,
> You can get a CL1-8 and PG1-5 resetter from WWW.tonerplusuk.co.uk
Have now received a reply from these people and unfortunately their resetter in _NOT_ mains powered.
Nick
Dougsewell,
I have tried to email TonerPlusUK to confirm that this is a mains powered resetter as there is no mention of that on their website, however they do not seem to want to reply. I have also tried calling them a few times, even though they have a high charge 0845 number, but no one...
OK so not related to inkjets but as many of you have so much digital imaging knowledge I hoped there might be some opinions; which Camera to buy?
Are there any which stand out from the crowd in value for money terms. It seems that I should be aiming for 8MPixels but other than that I have no...
Have already had Canon Engineer in twice and they claim nothing wrong, however I did get a spare set of cartridges from them.
So it looks like the ink preference is:
Pigment-black - KMP or MIS(Image Specialists) or possibly Hobbiecolours
Dye-colours - Hobbiecolours or Inktec
Thanks for your...
Thanks for the opinions. Sounds like the best thing to do is refill Canon cartridges and buy a chip resetter, as suggested stay away from CISS.
I have a suspicious feeling that Canon have deliberately built something in to cause these printers to guzzle loads of ink cleaning. I am getting...
Hi All,
Can anyone suggest what is the best option for me to do with my Canon MP610, polite answers only;). This unit seems to guzzle colour ink even though 99% of my printing is in black & white.
What is the current state of play - buy compatibles, refill existing or CIS? I rather liked the...
Hi All,
Anyone got experience or opinions of the Ricoh 3050n? I am looking for a networked workgroup inkjet with a duty cycle of less than 1000 pages per month.
Currently using some HP6980s but these have a crap driver and have to go. Any other suggestions?
Thx,
Nick
