Canon Pixma TS7450a - no output tray?

Just finished installing this and am surprised to see that there is no output tray. Or is there and I am not finding it?

The printer sits on a shelf and the paper drops down to the floor, not very helpful when printing a multipage document. Standing it on a tray that projects beyond the shelf is a poor and inconvenient workaround.

Yes, page 154 of the online manual shows one but there definitely is not. There are several versions of this model, mine is the a .

I have sent a query to Canon giving the serial number. Will follow up with a photo if necessary

In the manual the second paper tray is shown at the back of the printer - on mine it is at the front above the A4 tray.

I should have suspected something when unpacking it as the mains lead had a 2 pin plug.

It's on its way back ton Argos for a refund.
