Canon Pro 1: Paper Jam / How to open the printer

Hello,

I keep getting a paper jam signal and have done everything recommended in order to resolve the issue. I see nothing on the rollers.

Should I open the printer? Any recommendations in order to do so? This printer looks really hard to open.

How did you resolve the issue? I am getting the same error in almost the same situation.

I had an ink spillage from the print head and after that the 1300 error persists.
May be someone has a scheme with paper sensors disposition?

I have a question regarding paper sensors and the Canon 1300 error on Pixma Pro-1.
The attached picture shows a plastic device with a spring, that I can see under the print paper path in the center of it. There is a square hole there.
My question is. How does that hole look like on a healthy Pro-1 printer? Can anyone take a picture of it?
The device with the spring that I see through that hole hangs loose on my printer. It resembles a thin lever, that could be used to "sence" the passing paper, when the edge of the paper presses against it. But now it does not protrude through the hole, but looks as if it collapsed, or fallen down. When I touch it with a long pin, the spring just dangles as if it is not attached to anything with its other end.
Is it a paper sensor or not?
@The Hat is known to have dismantled his printer, might he have the sacred knowledge of the internals of the beast?

@Sergey, that hole you see is for fitting the spring into that position, and nothing is supposed to stick up through that hole at all...

Got it... but should the spring "dangle"? I took a look at it again - one end is attached, but the other is not..
