... this is the kind of situation that is a perfect example of why 3D printing isn't going to be mainstream anytime soon.
I found a CURA profile that was supposed to be AWESOME for the CR-10, so I gave it a try.
For the most part, it worked fine, but I was having a HORRIBLE time with the first few lines sticking to the bed.
Actually, it turned out it was the skirt lines that I print every time.
Little did I know:
Fortunately I stumbled on this setting, un-hid it, and changed it to the recommended .6
This tiny hidden setting made all the difference!

- CURA has a "skirt line width" setting
- This setting is hidden by default
- The profile I was using had this line width set to .2! (my nozzle is .6)
Fortunately I stumbled on this setting, un-hid it, and changed it to the recommended .6
