Alternatively you can sometimes buy a vintage i1Pro1 (the orginal Eye-One Pro) spectro for maybe 50-100 euro if you are lucky and it is completely supported by ChromIQ: It will be far superior to PrintPrism in my eyes (provided the spectro is in good condition). A Colormunki/i1Studio is sometimes also available cheaply.

I can strongly support this tip. For some years a used a Datacolor Spyderprint package, but was never really happy with the profiles. After buying and using an old i1Pro 1 I got excellent profiles not only with ChromIQ, but also with the very light alternative YAAW - https://github.com/riclin-au/YAAW-Yet-Another-ArgyllCMS-Wrapper-Workflow.

That is some fantastic work you have done with the CR30, which I happend to have discovered last year by coincidence and was asking myself: is this device capable as a cheap alternative to the Colormunki or even the i1Pro and it seems to be yes after several tests and crossed checked by others on dpreview.com as well. By having it work now ChromIQ opens a whole new possibility for cheap printer profiling unheard a decade ago..

Note the CR30 is a true spectrophotometer measuring between 400-700 nm, unlike the terrible Datacolor SpyderPrint SR device, which I wonder why it is still being sold, because it produces very unsatisfactory profiles that often are just useless. Maybe it is due to the software included with the package ? Maybe ChromIQ should be programmed with help of Claude to encompass the SpyderPrint too.

I am sure there are still some bugs and issues and I am already working on beta 2 which will allow you to use the spacebar as a trigger instead of the devices button to reduce shake.

Of course it is nice to add more instruments but you cannot do this based on assumptions. Everything needs a real device at hand and testing. And I can’t effort buying every single spectro plus multiple Claude subscriptions to get it done. If I could Inwould have started with an i1iSis or i1iO. But here we are with the economy version of a spectro

I am trying to remeasure some patches, because I see there are severe Delta E errors in the patches:

I finished scanning, but I want to reread H5 and I13 again....but it seems everything or not.....Maybe @itsab1989 you can tell me how to only remeasure those points without doing everything again.

On the left - is resume / refine existing measurement selected? And then you should be able to click on the patch you want to measure

Ok, I just finished testing the last beta version and it works perfectly.

The resulting calibrated scan of the print made on my Epson ET-18100 with the above generated 368 patch printer profile scanned with the CR30 Aliexpress hand held mini spectro (using a 744 patch scanner target with ChromIQ):

accurate colors and neutral greys as you can see.

Now I am happy that I did not sleep for a whole day to get this working!

Edit: did you maybe try if blutooth works? There should be no setup required. Just start the measurement without the cable attached.
