I know you want to use i1Profiler. But since you are on Windows could you try to start a measurement inside ChromIQ with the new option I mentioned enabled and tell me whether it works and you notice any speed improvements?

I'm mainly printing B&W images with Roy Harringtons QTR printer driver - most often with neutral grays. Which of your target presets would be the best to get the most neutral icc profile? I assume the one with the extended grays would be the first choice. Ot is another one better suited?

with the new option enabled the scan seems to succeed succesfully:

However there are a lot of pathches highlighted (standard setting: Delta-E: 20), maybe I should increase it a bit: not sure how the engine decides whether or not a patch is highlighted or not, but the softproofing seems to be very good (744 patches):

I suggest to start with the 3 sheets target: Either the A4/Letter 1944 patch target (both 3 sheets).

Alan G has very good results with this target (He has compared to his previous 2 step workflow with a preconditioning profile followed with a secondary final target and both are very similar, but the 1944 patch target only needs one run, so saving paper and for most time, due to to the massive sampling of the neutral and near neutral axis to accurate determine the neutral axis of a given printer/ink/combination in one run.

very strange, this should be visible in the softproofing by strange colour pike in the colour gradients. I don't see anything strange and the softproofing is very smooth and no strange colour spikes.

I also see the strange expected/measured values in row D:

But it doesn't translate at all in a faulty or strangely behaving target: it is perfect for the given paper/ink/printer combination. Could it be a bug ?

Here is the ti2/ti3 combo, so maybe Claude can have a look at and why ChromIQ shows those strange offset colours.
