In my country nobody import the pigmented ink for HP because everyone go for Epson!!, just dye for everything. So I think I'll have to stick with dye...Although I want pigmented >.<

I used dye ink in my Canon pigment black cartridges for years and only changed back
to using pigment when I was able to get good quality pigment ink..:)

Is there a reliable place to buy real pigment ink for a HP 61 cartridge. I try some ink that I bought on Ebay; sold by Nano, and it dried overnight and plugged the print head and ruined the cartridge. .

Its hard to recommend a place to you because you never mentioned where you are,
but if you have difficulty getting HP inks then Canon ink are safe to use in your HP cartridges.

The HP black cartridge will work just as well with dye ink as it does with pigment ink..:)

Hi Denng

Like Canon cartridges HP cartridges are regionalized, meaning the same cartridge is sold in different parts of the world with different numbers and different regional coding. The cartridges known in the US as HP 60 are known in Europe as HP 300 and might have a different number in other parts of the world. This link suggests that the HP 61 cartridge is intended for the US and Canada market, so I guess your location is North America? Image Specialists is a refill ink brand considered very good by many forum members, and here is a link to a Canadian distributor. Their HP site is under construction, but you could try asking them if they have a suitable refill ink set for your HP cartridges. Link here: http://www.precisioncolors.com/
