hi, I'm Jude. Having problems with my Canon Pixma Mp280. Have got it into service mode but dont know what to do now?

The MP280 is very similar to the MP495 in this post and a to handful of other printers, so that post and following posts do also apply to your printer.

But what are the problems with the printer? A service tool cannot correct mechanical or electronic errors in the printer. It can only get info from the firmware and change some info stored in the firmware, like resetting the ink absorber counter.

If the problem is that the printer has been locked due to the ink absorber is full, or the printer will soon be locked due to the ink absorber getting full, then see this post.
