Pro 10s banding. This only happens in muddy mid-tones, bright mixed areas are fine. I have tried head re-alignmen.

It looks like an ink delivery issue with one of your carts !

Hi.

I am using Octoinkjet on a Pro 10s. Clear chroma problem?

As far as I can see that nozzle check is OK. The alternated dark patches in the chroma band are intended to look this way. No problem here

Banding in real life pictures can be software related as well. Have you tried different driver settings? -quality mode, type of paper, etc.

I’d risk giving both the Photo black and Grey carts a good flushing out with a little Fairy liquid in warm water, then rinse with clean water, and then fill and try the same photo again.. Don't forget to shake the refill bottle before refilling..

P.S. Clear Chroma is working fine and besides it can’t give you banding on your photos..

Thank you.

I'm going to try a new Canon Photo Black & Gray and report back.

I observed this now and then with Octoink GY, but not as bad as this.
Did you try both Normal or High Quality settings, the latter should be better.

Update.

Still waiting for the new carts to be delivered, they have been returned to the warehouse twice! Don't you just love rural France!
