printer fax L565 losing settings

I have device All in one Epson L565 and I lost issues related settings to send via fax.
I tried to change the firmware, and the unit is subsequently kept setting three days and lost them. For example, adjust the upload speed to 33600 instead of the default, this setting and other losses and return to the default value of 14400 after excluding Epson L565. What to do to solve the problem?

Motherboard is made with super capacitor of 0.33 F , 5.5 V, which keeps state in memory. I assume that the fax lose their own settings if the device is out of power for several days? Situation is improving when I upgrade firmware and then fax works well several days and again after losing items when I turn off the power?

This machine needs to be kept plugged into the wall socket to maintain all it setting..

Whether it Epson recommends and how much time fax can withstand, without electricity without losing settings?
