One more year for Windows 10

When I was looking for a download of 32 bit Windows 10 Home for reinstall on an old laptop I found out Microsoft had extended the security updates for Windows 10, so it now expires at October 2027 instead of October 2026. See this.

I've been running Win10 for years without updating anything .. and no issues at all. For some reason, since 2019 automatic updates failed to install properly. Something to do with the particular configuration of my computer I expect. In these conditions, I don't care at all if Microsoft extends security updates or not. they can do as they please.

I’ve been watching this news also, my son is in the process of building a new Win 11 computer for me, because my current one wont upgrade anymore, it’s too old.. (Mid December) a present from Santa, I guess..

I don’t have the luxury of using a computer that doesn’t run the latest O/S, because he’s big in cyber security and wouldn’t allow it, it’s too much hassle he says, if I Fubar it up..

He’s the one that would have to clean up the Feckin mess..
