Eat your heart out stratman and check the poll results … :plbb
It's still early. By my count, there are 4 Durchstich refillers who have posted on this thread, yet only 2 votes for the method? Ballot box hijinks?

Like my 90 year old uncle says -- vote early, vote often. :pop

To me the German method is the best! Or maybe we should call it the Flemish method since Pharmacist gave a lecture about the method on this forum. After having red this lecture I bought a Canon printer!

On my Epson printers I use the normal filling procedure with refillable carts.

IIRC, it was forum member Defcon2k that introduced the Durchstich method to the forum, which he learned of from Druckerchannel, or at least got widespread attention after published on that German web site.

The Freedom Fill method was developed/named by forum member ghwellsjr.

The traditional top-fill method was developed by???

Freedom fill. Will try top fill some time "soon", but these things take time, since each refill prints a lotta pages. :)

BCI-6 top fill. Tried the German method, but went back to top fill. Among other things, it allows each refilled cart to be tested for proper ink flow and identifies any carts that will tend to starve the print head.

Same as Grandad. Top fill with BCI-6 and CLI-8 carts. An added benefit is that purging of carts is much simplified and fast with the cartridge "enema tube" attached to the faucet and to the ink outlet port.

The Durchstich method is the German method. As I recall, there were at least 5 votes for it when you posted.

Not according to my monitor at that time. Maybe a cached cookie on my end prevented me from seeing all the votes at that time. Today I see 6 votes for the Durchstich method, 7 votes for top-fill.
