NEW Service Tool SOFTWARE (waste ink counter reset) for CANON printers

this is for CANON IP4760 4680 3680 1980 MP198 MX328 MP245 (according to the description of the file)

not sure if this can RESET other SIMILAR canon printers from different regions... i have successfuly reset the waste ink counter on my Canon ip4680

GUIDE

Assuming that your printer (ip4600 series) is already installed on your PC.

Reset can be done once your printer is on Service Mode:
a. Switch Off the Printer
b. Hold the Resume Button
c. Switch On and Hold the Power Button
d. Release the Resume Button
e. Press the Resume Button Twice
f. Release the Power Button

By this time your printer is in service mode already.

Run the Service Tool Program (Resetter)

Select ASA as the Region (for ASIA PACIFIC - depends on your location)

Set Clear Waste Ink Tank, select Main & Platen

Click Cleaning 1 (Printer will print)

Then Click Main and Platen

Is this real, will it work for the ip4600? If so this is a refiller's dream since it's been pretty much a throwaway item if your waste ink pad fills up on a canon.

I managed to print the eeprom of the MP980 (which method was not possible without a service manual) tested on Win 7 x64

Some fonts are missing from the app that's why we see a lot of ????? in it ? . But I think it's a powerful Application and you can enable CD Printing on US Models beside other functions.

Is it possible to have any form of translation or help file ?

SpideRMaN - would you mind offering some quick instructions on how to enable CD printing for an MP980? I just ran across this tool and want to make sure I use it correctly. I understand I will need the correct tray (G, I believe) to make this work, but am looking to you for instructions on how to enable the software/firmware side of things.

You don't need to use this for the ip4500, do a search on google for ip4500 waste tank reset.

i think it works on mp270 too. i could print the eeprom and reset the eeprom. i couldnt do this before. thanks.
