Aldi DK offers the popular Netbit 300 gsm glossy photo paper from Wednesday 22nd of March. It is DKK 39.95 or around € 5.37 for 150 sheets of 10x15 cm size or 50 sheets of A4 size. The paper is likely to be offered in other European countries in the near future.

Can you identify the printer from the ad?

get as much as you can, that's a very good paper. Aldi-Nord was selling it in Germany the last time in November last year, they offer it at different times in different countries.

I checked some older threads about photo paper at Aldi and Lidl and it seems Aldi Nord has offered this paper in March and November the last couple of years. It seems Aldi Süd (Ireland and more countries) has had similar offers in January and July, just like Lidl.

The printer is a Canon AIO of the PGI-5/CLI-8 generation. Can you guess it now?

Nope that paper was not on sale here in Aldi, I check every month... :(
    I obviously can’t tell a Canon from a house brick... :hide :hide:hide:hide

It is a Canon MP610. It is an iP4500 print engine with a CIS scanner attached. I have one, but with a defective print head. You can see the top of in this post, or here from Canon.dk:

The US may get printers on the cheap but Europe gets good paper at great prices. Refilling is a wash between the two continents, I think.

The Sihl fotopaper, glossy 280gr, distributed 2x per year by Aldi Nord, is available as well in the Lidl online shop for 5,99€/per 50 sheets in A4 format, it states that the paper is only available online and not in any stores.
    https://www.lidl.de/de/united-office-premium-inkjet-fotopapier/p238453
There is a fine print on the back of the package referring to the Sihl company, with a reference to a Czech address in Prague, probably their production location.
(Yes, I ordered a package out of pure interest, ......)
I don't know whether the Lidl online shop would ship to other EU countries, or whether similar Lidl online shops exist in other countries.

I am currently using this same Sihl photo paper with the Skier on the front, I managed to get ten packs when they were available here back in the spring, it’s the only photo paper I use, I’m not a great photographer as many have gathered, and I have no complaints with it, and all the printers love it...

We don’t get the Netbit photo paper here at all...:(
