I have added a few more little extras to my Mini MS, the new spinner was supposed to be a bit smaller but who’s complaining, and I also got me a filament holder for the side of the printer, this has the reel pointing in the feed direction, just all great fun..

and these are the brackets to strengthen the cross bar on the CR-10.


The new printer has a bigger appetite and I’m running out of PLA fast, which means I’ve started back using the ABS again but this time with much better success, at least with this new printer I now have more time to myself because it takes longer to make something...

I decided to use the ABS filament to make tool boxes to fit under the printer to keep all my implements in one safe place...

No, what I meant was when making some of these bigger pieces, I set my infill to 90% which naturally will take longer for stronger pieces, that’s my preference, and I don’t mind a slower printer.

When I discovered my adhesion problems were caused by a bow in the glass, I turned the glass over, re-calibrated the platform and everything was sticking first time.

So, I decide to try the ABS again with the same setting but with a much higher operating temperature, head set to 260 C and the platform to 60 C, but the glass must be squeaky clean before putting on the hair spray, I tried a second tool box and it worked first time also, so maybe I’ve cracked it...
