I will risk using Rx solution to store my print head long term.

Pharmacist's print head solution that contains propylene glycol or glycerol, not his cleaning solution.

If you want to keep risk to a minimum with this solution, then flush the print head under tap water then use a syringe and/or tubing over the ink inlet ports to slowly, gently inkjet the solution. (too much force can harm the print head) That way you are not using the printer to move solution through the print head.

Sometimes there are too many choices.
