Your local library may have some fantastic hardware available to you at no or low cost.

My county library has numerous printing and crafts available. Besides B&W and Color copy printing they have a large format HP Designjet Z5200 44" printer available to anyone with a library card. Also, there is a 3D printer available. Support is on site to help you with the machines. (would you leave a stranger alone with your $5K printer?)

Other things available:
  • Cricut Maker
  • Laser Engraver
  • Vinyl Cutter
  • Green Screen Studio
  • T-Shirt Press
  • Button Maker
  • Comb Binding Machine
  • Laminator
I don't know what a Comb Binding Machine is but it's there for the free cost of a library card.

Amazing!

Like when you have your document bound down one side with plastic or wire teeth, that’s Comb Binding..
Also, there is a 3D printer available.
So now there's no excuse not to get into 3D printing..:hugs Capture44.JPG

Sooner or later you will succumb to temptation.
Just wait till I gather the funds needed for buying my second 3D printer. :D

Ah ha, but then you might have the same issue that @stratman has, no space to put in..
P.S. I’ve no more space left either..
P.S. That’s why I suggested using the one in the library..

You're right, not enough vital space for two 3D machines in my home. IF I purchase a second printer, it will replace the first one.
That won't happen tomorrow, unless my Prusa explodes or burns to the ashes suddenly.

As much as the Titanic was a good solid ship.
( I won't be printing any 3D icebergs, just in case ).

Another interesting find.

My local CVS drug store has an Epson P6000 behind the counter. Freaking huge!

One of the employees was fitting an 8x10 portrait canvas shot of a family onto a plastic frame. The printer is relatively new for the store.

Unlike the library, I don't think CVS will let me try out the printer.
