Is there a decent ePrint HP?

A teletypewriter is a kind of electric typewriter that can send a written message to another teletypewriter via a telephone line or via radio. The bell function caused a bell to ring to get the other operator's attention. This is old technology, I doubt any of these machines are used commercially today, they were replaced by the fax. These machines were noisy, as are some HP printers.

Another thing: You can easily refill the HP printer, I wrote that in post #5, but I was editing while you posted, so I guess you missed that. That way you can save some money on the HP cartridges. You can use the ink set you already have for Canon printers. Some of the inks are the same as for Canon, only the yellow is different.

I think my C309a is a very good printer. I didn't realize that until I found out that they all guzzle ink. Great print quality, easy to use, no hassle with installing Linux drivers. Better grays than my Canon Pro9000 (yes, it's true). It's not particularly hard to refill, although you have to monitor the ink level yourself. It's fairly tolerant to running dry of ink. And I suspect you'll find that most of these printers make a lot of noise before and after they print.

The main problem is that my wireless receiver has failed twice. They don't make the part any more, so I suspect they have replaced it with a better one in other printers. If you want the HP e-mail feature, then HP is what you need to buy. Just pick one with the features you want.

do u know the part number?
can u open up printer and pull out?

regards to some of what u said: i don't think there's any reason why a modern printer shouldn't be super silent - well at least much much quiter

The part number is on the circuit board, I think. It's at the top left of the printer. I tried at the time to get the part, but I couldn't find one anywhere. It's easy to swap the part if you could only get one. One could probably find some of the printers in a landfill. Keep the wireless board and the head, and throw away the rest. HP didn't supply the part, as I am sure they realized it was a lost cause. To their credit, HP replaced my printer a few months past the guarantee. Presumably you would not have this problem with other models, because they are obviously using a different part now.

I fixed up a spare router to work in wireless client bridge mode, but if you ever have the problem, I don't especially recommend that unless you like pain.

The HP print heads using the single ink tanks are very similar to Canon print heads for single ink tanks, some say it is actually Canon technology licensed by HP. and refill inks for Canon can be used in these HP printers. It is perfectly OK for plain paper documents, colours for photo printing may be off, but may be corrected in printer settings. As most of the suggested refill inks for Canon are common to these HP printers, refill inks for Canon will not damage your HP.

The Image Specialists or IS ink recommended ink numbers are for the HP 364/564 cartridges: Pigment BK - WJ1020 also used in Canon BCI-3e and Canon PGI-5 cartridges. C - WJ244 also used in Canon CLI- x21 C cartridges. M - WJ6053 also used in Canon BCI-6 M cartridges. Y - WJ7006 not used in common Canon cartridges. Photo/dye BK - WJ1008, also used in Canon BCI-6 BK cartridges.

IS inks are sold in UK by http://www.octoink.co.uk/ and in Canada by http://www.precisioncolors.com/ . I guess you cannot import ink, but maybe you could find a refill ink set for Canon in your country, maybe there are more Canon than HP printers?

No, there's only 1 choice of Canon InkMate dye ink and 1 choice of HP InkMate dye ink for large format printer (they specially say HP Designjet). Can those ink for large format be used for small home printer like HP Deskjet??

In my country there's not a detail choice like what you have, each ink each serial for each specific printer/cartridges. Everyone here go for Epson => refill ink for Canon and HP are very rare and have only 1 choice - large format printer refill ink, like the following ones.
