Hello From India,

Would love to hear experiences from guys out there on refilling methods for the new HP cartridges (without Print Head) Eg 18 no and so on. Also of interest would be to refill one on which the date code has already expired.

Rgds,

Jasii

I just bought an HP D5460. I ran the original cartridges low and then checked out refilling them. It is simply a matter of pushing in the plastic ball plug, refilling the tank, and plugging the hole. I went a step further and put a CISS on it. I've done a lot of photo printing and it's working great.
The D5460 uses photo black, cyan, magenta, yellow and regular black. I rate the output I'm getting as fine, it is after all, not a professional grade printer. The prints really do look good.

Very interesting! Maybe I've been out of the loop for too long, but is HP making printers with Canon like cartridges now!?!?

Hi Rob,

Did you read my latest German Durchstich refill guide for the Canon CLI-221/521/821 and PGI-220/520/820 cartridges ? I did mention using this method for the latest HP 364 XL cartridges, which are depicted above. Canon's system is the superior system and even Lexmark is going to move to this system and their chips will be RFID, making it almost impossible to reset !!!
