OK were getting there, so its like this black Dye ink will work perfectly well in the black pigment ink
cartridge and wont leak out that said it wont solve your problem.

Your black ink cartridge is usually fatter than all of the other coloured cartridges ok.
I would tell you NOT to use dye ink in the fatter black cartridge, it wont help.

When you select to print on photo glossy paper your HP printer will not use the ink in
this fatter cartridge no matter what you do, its only used when you print on plain paper.

I reckon the problem you have with the milky image is because the paper that you are using is not HP photo glossy paper.
But when you use the new Image Specialists inks your photos will not be milky but proper black,
because this ink will work better on the Epson/Fuji paper.

I have no explanation for you as to why you were sent two separate black ink; it must have being a mistake, so only use the pigment black.
If there is anything you are still unsure of then keep your questions coming, we are only here to help you get the very best out of your printer.

Patience can be a real help when nothing seems to be going right.

Please let us know how you get on with your new inks.. :) :)

I still haven't bought the ink.

I said that I have the choice to buy the black dye ink and the black pigment ink.

So, to conclude to this very long topic, I have to choose the black pigment ink and the 3 dye colors for my HP (to follow the HP schema because in all cases, the black dye ink will not resolve my problem).

I trust you for the solution about my milky photos (Image Specialists inks)

I'll buy theses inks when I'll receive the order of ink for my Epson (I've heard lots of good reviews about Image Specialists ink). Hope I'll not be disappointed.

I think I'll receive my Epson compatible inks this week. I cross my fingers. :D

Once done, I will buy the ink for my HP and refillable cartridges if I have no problem with the epson compatible ink (Image Specialists). It's easier to refill the refillable cartridges because there's a hole for refilling and a hole for air. I don't have to drill cartridges. I have 2 left hands. lol.

The only drawback is that I'll lose the ink level on my HP (I need to bypass the ink level error and lose the warning). Hope I'll recover it (the ink level) if I put genuine cartridges in case of problems...

You're right when you say "Patience can be a real help when nothing seems to be going right". I totally agree with you.

^^

Thanks for everything you've done to answer me (even if sometimes, I had misunderstood).

:)

I'll be back when I'll test inks after received my HP compatibles inks.

See you soon.

Bye.

I have a feeling you should try your printer with HP ink and HP paper -- while you still have some HP ink left. Your printer doesn't use photo black ink (dye), so it has to simulate black from a mixture of three colored dyes. As far as I know, it's rather hard to get well-balanced grays and blacks from colored ink, and something as small as the type of paper may affect it.

I don't have HP papers... I only have hahnemhle papers, Epson papers, Canon papers, Fuji papers and Micro Application papers (A french company which resolds things under their name)...

I will not buy HP paper only to test knowing that I will buy Image Specialists inks soon...

As "The Hat" said, if Image Specialists inks resolves my problem (he said it will be the case because he is using these inks with same papers as me), I will not have to buy special papers (in particular HP papers)...

Moreover, I cannot find A3 HP papers in shops... In fact, A3 papers are rare in shops where I live...

And for A4 format, I have my Epson Stylus Photo PX820FWD and I have my spectrocolorimeter to profile my papers/ink/printer...

And as I said already before, I'm sure that it's my HP inks that is not compatible with my papers.

I don't have any doubts about that!!!

I had some problems with very old HP papers that doesn't dry with my Epson inks...

After seeing that, I drop the HP papers because none of my Epson printers could print on it...
