Hi everyone:

I have an HP CP2025 that is still not picking up paper even after replacing the pickup rollers and separation pads. Apparently, it's due to a solenoid which gets stick from the padding eventually wearing.

You can just put paper in between the solenoid tab and the solenoid, but I'm trying to gauge how painful it is/how much work to replace the solenoid. Anyone tried it on this model?

Oops! Yes, that was a typo. Indeed, it is the CP2025. I changed the thread title and content to reflect that.

I did the hack of putting a piece of paper in between the solenoid pieces. Removing the parts required to be able to remove the solenoid is way too much work. I think it's working now, I just need to be able to put the case back together.

The service manual is only helpful to a limited extent with this, as it doesn't always show in which order things were removed, unless you scroll around to 10 different pages.
