Regarding buttons & placement:

I'm open to suggestions and feedback on updating the buttons / location. Here's an example of the settings / config for the editor buttons (different buttons base on screen size / device):

So, if y'all can agree on which items to move, add, remove, etc., we can make the changes!

Thanks for the opportunity to chip in.

Looks like there are 18 total spots available in your image, Rob.

My preferences:

B . I . U . Text Color . Font Size . Link . Ordered List . Unordered List . Image Insert . Quote . Undo . Smilies

Strike Through and Media optional top line items.

Room for other's favorites, too.

Leaving one space for the More (three vertical dots) secondary tier left over functions.

Brilliant!

Maybe @The Hat and a few other of the "more active" peeps can chime-in, then we can make a few adjustments and get feedback.

NOTE: We have to setup multiple different configurations based on screen-size (width), so what you see on one device will be different from another (and which direction, portrait or landscape) you change your phone:

Cool.

I use a desktop /monitor.

Do you have an idea the breakdown in numbers or %'s using phones vs tablets vs desktops?

Great question!

63% Desktop
35% Mobile
2% Tablet

... but the real question is screen resolution (top 10 in order):

This is the currently active setting, but for "medium" screen sizes.

This isn't an example configuration, but is a list of all the buttons available. We can't really put all of the buttons on the toolbars (especially smaller screens) without causing even more potential issues.

... but there are always going to be tradeoffs, and it will be impossible tricky to find a solution that pleases all the people all the time.
