why is the fading performance shown in #7 and #16 for the black ink (106/T54C) so different on Epson glossy ?

Yes, the numbers need some evaluation, I'll try to reconstruct the data, I hope I have the patch sheets somewhere.

the deltaE for the black shift for the 106 and P54C inks are in posting # 16___ 1.82 and 1.63

The deltaE for the black shift for the 106 and T54C inks are in posting #7___ 5,46 and 2.45,
the 5.46 value should be 2.46 (which was a reading error from screen to paper)

Be aware that the total exposure in posting #7 is higher than in posting #16, the cumulative exposure to the sun during a 3 week test period was higher - that's the weather impact to these tests

the total deltaE average of all 96 patch colors reports a 6.95 in posting #7, and a value of 5.48 in posting #16 , and this affects the black values accordingly.

(All data on the Epson Premium Glossy Photo paper) , data vary even more on other papers.

These inks are pretty similar in fading performance - variations in the test setup - e.g. changing the mix of UV and ozone could deliver different results - my tests are for orientation but I wouldn't give these inks different numerical ratings - they are the best I can get . And all testing shows the strong impact of the paper you are actually using - different papers cause wider differences in numerical value than the inks have.

Do you happen to have any data for 107 ink on Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II? I happen to be able to get some A3 sheets at a discount

do expect that the t54c light inks perform better than the 107 ones?

yes i could imagine to mix the light inks by using the 106 inks. By i´m not sure about the mixture to mim the original light inks. Somebody says 1:2 the other 30:70 and so on
