Error code 5B02 on canon Pixma mx534

Hi

Does anybody know how to clear this code for this particular printer.

Does anybody know how to clear this code for this particular printer.

The normal way to clear this problem is to:-

Power off the printer, then while holding the Resume in button press and hold the power button also.

Now release the Resume button and then press the Resume twice slowly and then release the power button, wait a minute or two and then power off the printer.

When turned on again the error message will be gone and your printer will work again..

P.S. Don’t forget about the waste ink build up…

yes i have tried this but does not work.
Use the same Button sequence again but if the 2 button procedure doesent work then use 4..

Power off the printer, then while holding the Resume button in press and hold the power button also.
Now release the Resume button and then press the **Resume twice slowly and then release the power button.

**You may need to start again but this time press the Resume button four times instead of two..

Step 2.
When you have successfully entered service mode the LED light should remain constant, then press the Resume another 4 times, wait ten seconds and press the power button, this procedure should have reset you waste ink counter and remover the error..

Sorry for the confusion, because I don’t know which procedure works 2 or 4 button.. Try both.

Please explain what you mean by, the computer can’t see the printer, there isn’t anything different than it was before, other than your waste ink is now set to zero, did you turned off the printer after completing all the steps. ?

the usb cable is plugged in but the software is not connecting with the printer

but the software is not connecting with the printer
If the Service Tool does not connect with your printer, there are only two possibilities why..

You have not properly entered Service Mode on the printer or the Service Tool your using is the wrong one, you’ll need Version 3400 or older for your printer..
PM me if you don’t have the correct one and I’ll send it to you...

P.S. This operation will not work on a Mac computer only Windows..
