Epson Stylus Photo R300 Print issues

Hello, My name is LJ (Little Joe) and I am a full time musician in a Las Vegas Style show band. I use my Epson Stylus Photo R300 for my business.

I have done the clean head, cycles many times. I have performed all the checks I could find on the general internet. I even removed the print heads, and flushed them out until they are flowing freely yet my nozzle check still comes back with many of the lines and colors missing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think you did about all you can do to bring the printhead back to life but apparently without complete success. I think it is time to look for a replacement unit now in this situation.

Hello LittleJoe,
search on youtube for instuctions how to clean printheads.
Also self filling cartridges can cause problems because airbubbles in the cartridge can stop inkt flowing .
btw.
a new printhead only cost about 20 dollars on aliexpress .

Are these used or new print heads?

almost certainly used heads . its a risk . but it is cheap.
read customer reviews at the sellers shop.

Don't know if this applies to Epson print heads sold on Aliexpress, but there have been issues with Canon print heads sourced from China for printer models whose print heads are no longer manufactured by Canon. Some sellers are cleaning up used print heads, packaging them in counterfeit foil wrapper and box to make it look as if new and never used, and selling them as if new. Not surprisingly, there are complaints about malfunctioning.

Caveat emptor.
