hi I have recently bought and set up my Epson r2000 I am using profiles and excellent paper canson, hahnemule etc can anyone advise me how to get the best black and white out of it, I know its not a dedicated b+w printer but I have used some lustre papers and had good results, I am also using Epson inks.
thanks

In this test a good color profile is the best way, also for B&W, better than epson's B&W mode:

PS: I'm using dedicated B&W ink sets in a 6 channel epson R285, but I would not do this with a R2000, because it's made for vivid and glossy (as far as pigment can print gloss.. or at least semigloss / lustre) COLOR prints with high gamut.
And BTW a good neutral B&W output depends not only on "3K's".. my R800 can do this too, on uncoated "aquarell" art paper with even deeper blacks than from UCK3..
